Classroom News

Welcome Back Students!

School begins for students after Labor Day. The materials listed below are essential for being successful in my classroom. Make sure you are prepared for class!

Materials Needed:

  • Pencils
  • 3 ring binder with 3 tabs
  • Lined Paper/Graphing paper
  • Scientific or Graphing Calculator (TI-84 Recommended)
  • More pencils

You will need lots of these this year!

We have a new set of PDM textbooks that were purchased recently!  Unfortunately, there is not an online textbook available so students will need to bring their books back and forth from class to home.

There is an online textbook for the Algebra 2 and Geometry courses.  You can find this website under the "Additional Links" tab!

Graphing Calc

Calculator Info

Aside from a few activities, I will allow calculators to be used in the classroom. At the very least, students will need a scientific calculator that can perform square root and exponential functions.

Graphing calculators will also be used this year and I recommend purchasing one if the student is planning on taking higher math courses, including classes at the college level. PDM students I strongly urge to have a graphing calculator.  I have a very small number of graphing calculators in the classroom that students may borrow should you decide purchasing one is not the best option and there is also an online version available to complete assignments at home.

Scientific Calc

At the very least, you will need a scientific calculator like the one pictured above.
